Wow! My publishers, Scholastic, have made a book trailer for me! And thanks to James and Joshua for showing me how to embed it on my website. Watch it. It is absolutely awesome! It was made by a very talented film student in Sydney. She used stock images and clips and sounds that are available on various internet sites. I am so impressed with what she has done.
When I first watched the trailer, I got chills. It is so powerful and energetic. Is my book really that scary? I guess I kind of forget that it is, knowing it so well and being so close to it. You’re kids are so great and you have really opened up the world of computers and internet for them in a huge way. Nothing against your predecessor, but technology wasn’t his strong point. I think when the white flash, and everyone dies is a bit scary, just because you described it so well, and I could easily get a glimpse of what Annie and Mac could see! SCARY!

Extinction 2: The Explosive Conclusion is out now. You can get it at Maclean’s Booksellers in Toronto and Hamilton, and any online store. It might even be in the Scholastic Book Club catalogue just before Christmas. Tell Mrs Caban that if she would like me to visit the class, I can come on a Monday or Tuesday. hmm that was a dissapointment as annie and mac can swim forever and hold thei breath forever. but in the video it looked like annine was struggelling to swim. but besides the faulty book reader it was really cool the tornado made it look like a moive. good job!!!!! oh and lizze plz check the extintion 2 page 🙂

My 10 Year old LOVES Book one as do I his mum! It’ Awesome! and we want to read book 2 already! However, trailer is great but the start is a bit scary for me says my 10yr old boy and the mask at the end is also scary. But we love the rest and how the eye turns to the four elements and the number 8. Cant wait to read book 2!!!!

I am glad you liked EXtinction 1. Extinction 2: The Explosive Conclusion, is out now. It is even more suspenseful than the first, so I hope you love it. I think it is cool that the kids come from Australia. You will see more of Australia in the second book.
