  1. Extinction 2. It is available in the local stores but I was trying to get it on the Kindle. I have heard of a few authors who self publish on Amazon and just thought I would mention it.

    Thanks Paul

    • Hi Paul
Thanks for the tip about self-publishing. I will think of it in the future, but as I have a contract with a major publishing house they have control of my rights for a set period of time.
But thank you for the advice.

      warm regards

  2. lizzie no matter where i look i cannot find a copy of grieve i once read it when i was young but i really wish to own it and cant find it anywhere would you mind telling me where i might find it as ive been looking for copy to own for over five years now

    • Hi Rebecca
I apologise for not responding sooner, but it is that mad time of the year when I am marking school work and writing reports. I teach Year 5 at a school in Newcastle. I am so glad that griEVE is one of your favourite books. It is out of print now and the only copies around are the ones I purchased and are sitting in a room downstairs. I sell them at the Writer’s Workshops I conduct regularly. As many people are keen on having a copy I can’t give them away for nothing, but as I don’t have a method for selling my books on this site I don’t know how to sell you one. Unless you come to my writing workshops in Newcastle.
      warm regards

  3. Hi Lizzie

I have read ‘Losing It’ many of times throughout my teen years and I’d just like to say your an amazing writer. But I can not find your book anywhere, and I have been looking for a few years. Do you recommend any places that would have a copy? Thank you

    • Hi Natalie
Thank you for your kind comments about my writing. Losing It was my first book and so it will always be my favourite. I have just checked every online store and there are none available. I think it may be out of print but my publishers usually notify me if this is the case. I will be in contact with them and see what’s going on and then I will let you know.

      kind regards

      Lizzie

      • I checked all the stores recommended for where it may be sold as well haha. Will you be re-printing in the future? Thankyou, I can’t wait to hear back.

      • Hi Nat
My publisher is checking if they have any in warehouses. Failing that. I have copies that I bought from my publisher to sell when I conduct writing workshops. I will soon be setting up a payment system on my website where readers like you can purchase the books and I can package them off to you. I will let you know directly when I have this established. Thanks for loving my books. It means a lot to me when people say that.

        warm regards

      • Hi Lizzie, I am so glad I have found the answer to all my questions I have been searching high and low to find a copy of griEVE. I have never read a book that has made me feel like that on did. I read it when I was in year 8 for the first time and then 6 times after that I borrowed from my school library and haven’t been able to find it again I am now out of school and dying to read it again. I would love to purchase a copy once you website it up and running. Thank you for writing such a gorgeous novel you r book really opened my eyes to the wonderful world of fiction and I am forever thankful.

      • Hi Syvahna
What an unusual and beautiful name you have. I may use it in my next book. I am busy at the moment organising my book launch for Thirst, but as soon as that is done I will get the payment method on my website up and running and will let you know personally so you can get a copy of grieve. It sounds like you almost know it word for word!

  4. Hi Lizzie!
I’m a year 5/6 teacher in Melbourne. I have had a copy of your book ‘Extinction: The Day the World Ended’ and read it to all of my classes for the last four years. I was half way through reading it with my new class and it has been stolen out of the class room. I have tried buying it at numerous book stores and all of the online book shops but nobody has it in stock. Where can I get a copy? Thanks!
    Sam

    • Hi Sam
I am so sorry I did not get back to you earlier. Being a Year 5 teacher myself, things get hectic. That’s terrible that your copy of Extinction was stolen. I asked my publishers and they tell me that it is now out of stock. I have some copies that I purchased. I will soon have internet banking set up where readers can purchase a book and I can mail it out to them. I will let you know details soon.
      warm regards

  5. Hi Lizzie, I was at the Orange lit Quiz and my daughter’s team from Orange public school came second and won a $25 voucher from the local book store so I’ll see if she can use it to buy one of your books. I happen to be a journalist for the ABC so I did a story on the teams from Orange and the national coordinator, Nicole Deans. Here it is:http://ab.co/1GJDoY7 Cheers, Melanie Pearce

    • Hi Melanie
Thanks so much for writing to me. Nicole Deans is so fabulous, as was your story. I heard range High School won the final this year and are off to Connecticut! Your daughter has a bright future. I have a new book coming out in May called “Thirst”. Perhaps she might like that one.

  6. Hi Lizzie, I read your book ‘Losing it’ many years ago back when I was in high school. I was telling my little cousin about how great of a book it was and that she should get onto reading it. Unfortunately I have not been able to locate a copy that I could buy from a store or online website. Would you happen to have any copies available for purchase? I’m very keen on getting my hands on a copy!

    Thanks, Jess.

    • Hi Jess
Wow! You remembered my book from a few years back and you’re now recommending it to your cousin? That’s very flattering. Thank you. Losing It should still be available to purchase from online stores as I don’t think it has gone out of print yet. I will be check with my publishers. If it is no longer available, I do have some copies that I purchased (yes, I have to buy my own books!) and when I have internet banking set up, I will let you know. Thanks so much for loving Losing It. As my first novel, it is special to me.

      warm regards

      Lizzie

      • I’ve checked every single store and online website that I can think of, but no luck! I’ve also been on Dymocks’ waiting list for over a year, but never heard anything back from them! If you could please keep me posted on when you have internet banking set up, I’ll be more than happy to buy a copy!

        Thanks again!
        Jess.

      • Hi Lizzie, I just wanted to double check if you still had any copies left (Losing it). We spoke earlier on in the year, and you said you would be setting up some form of internet banking, I am still very interested in buying one off you, so please keep me updated!
        Kind regards, Jess.

      • Hi Jess
I am very slow at getting technology things up and running. It is still on my to do list but your email has spurred me into action.
        Thanks Jess.

        love lizzie

      • Hi Lizzie!
Is there a possibility that you could sell me a copy of losing it by providing me with your bank details? I’m happy to purchase it that way! Thanks heaps!

        Jess.

      • Hi Jessica
Sorry I have taken so long to reply, but I have been on school holidays and tripping around NSW a bit. In order for me to work out the postage cost of sending Losing It to you, I need to know you postcode. If you can give me that, then I can use the Australia post postage calculator to work out the postage.
I hope you have had an awesome summer

        Lizzie

  7. Oh wow, thank you! What and honour that would be to have you use my name in a book! If you ever did I would love to know the name of it so I could own a copy. Also that would be perfect if you contacted me about griEVE. I will leave my email (syvahna@gmail.com) so you can. Thank you so much Lizzie!

  8. Hi Lizzie, I contacted you earlier on in the year about buying a copy of griEVE. I am still very very interested in buying a copy, you said you were looking to sell some on your own website… I was just wondering if that is still the case.

    Thank you, Syvahna.

    • Hi Syvahna
I remember that you wanted to purchase a copy of my novel, GriEVE. I was looking at getting paypal on my website but I have to pay a $25 monthly fee, which is not profitable as I am only selling a handful of copies to people like yourself. The only way I can sell you a copy, is if you deposit money in my bank account and then I post the book to you. I have investigated postage costs in Australia and it would be about $10 postage, depending on where in Australia you live. I usually sell GriEVE for $20, but I will let you purchase it for $15. That would mean that you would have to pay me $25. Please let me know if you would still like to purchase a copy of GriEVE. If so, I will send you my bank account details.

      kind regards

      Lizzie Wilcock

      • Lizzie! I am over the moon to hear that you are willing to organise a way to send me a copy of griEVE. I am 100% still interested in purchasing a copy. I am very very excited to own it!! Thank you so so much!

    • Hi Syvahna
I have had a lovely summer. I live near the beach (Newcastle) so I have been walking and swimming there almost every day, in between working on my next novel. I see that you live at Rothwell, which is a gorgeous part of the world too.
The postage to send one book is $7.45. I have copies of griEVE and Losing It for sale. RRP is about $20 each, but I am willing to sell each title for $12.15, making the cost to you an even $20 (for one). If you wanted both of these titles (which are now out of print), the postage cost is $14.35 and the total cost would be $38.65.
Please advise me which book(s) you want, and when you have deposited the money into my bank account. I will then send the books asap to the address you indicate. My account details are:
      BSB: 650 000
      Account No: 979831207
      Account Name: Elizabeth Monica Beck

      Happy Reading!

      Lizzie

      • I have a copy of Losing it already, so just a copy of griEVE will be perfect! I probably sound like a broken record but I am so very excited to own a copy of griEVE and feel all the emotions all over again. Thank you so much Lizzie.
I am unable to deposit the money until Tuesday but will do so as soon as I am able.
Is there an email that I am able to send my postal address to at all?

        Thank you,
        Syvahna.

  9. Hey Lizzie,
Thanks for your reply! My post code is 3037. I really appreciate you selling a copy to me! Hope the rest of your summer is a fantastic one!!

    Kind regards,
    Jessica.

  10. Hi lizzie,
That would be great! I would love to purchase a copy!! Is there another email or form of contact that I could send my address through? Also I was wondering, if it’s not too much trouble, could you please sign the book for me? Thank you so much!!!!!

    Kind regards,
    Jessica

    • Hi Peter
No, I don’t think Thirst is available as an audio book. It may be available as an ebook, though. Good luck in finding it in the version you need. Let me know if you like it.

  13. Hi Lizzie
My 10yo daughter is busting to read griEVE and has asked for it for Xmas.
I’m in Newcastle. Is there any chance I could buy a copy from you?
    Kind regards
    Peta
PS I think we might have met at a Merewether play group when said 10yo was much smaller!

  14. If you see this, I’d absolutely love to be able to get a copy of griEVE somehow! I lost my beloved copy somewhere between moving a couple years ago and have searched but found nothing. I’m more than happy to pay postage to New Zealand to get my paws on a copy again, I desperately miss my own!

    • Hi Alice
I am thrilled that Grieve is one of your favourites! I have some copies of Grieve that I sell for $12. (RRP$ 20). The postage costs to NZ for this book (550 grams) is about $24 economy rate (7 days) That would make it about $36 for me to send you a copy. Let me know if you would like to proceed, and I will send you my private email.
      warm regards

      Lizzie
